So the thing about Reno? He woke up out-of-his mind hungover in mad uncomfortable positions on a pretty regular basis; chalk that up as the main reason it took him such a hot damn second to realize that something was off.

Like... wicked off.

His first hint was how (for once) his mouth didn't taste like something had crawled down the back of his throat and died, meaning he couldn't have been drinking all that hard last night. His next hint was the fact that he couldn't remember any of last night to start with -- or any of yesterday, for that matter -- which, despite Reno's rep, was actually a pretty rare occurrence.

Reno didn't black out.

Yeah, something was very wrong.

Finally coming out of whatever sedative haze he'd been hit with, Reno tugged roughly at the cuffs that held his wrists behind his back, realizing only belatedly that there was another pair of wrists cuffed right up next to his own.

"Yo." His voice was hoarse as he gave his bound wrists a hard shake, hoping that whoever he was shackled to would turn out to be an asset instead of a handicap. "Hey, wake up. You with me back there?"

Tifa wasn’t one to drink a lot. Yes she would have a couple of shots with customers every now and then but nothing close to getting blackout drunk. So when she woke with a gasp, someone was talking way too loudly, Tifa had no good explanation why her head throbbed and also felt like it was full of cotton.

What was going on?

“Yes… yes I’m awake.” Adrenaline was pumping through Tifa’s system now as she saw a thick forest surrounding them. That… was not a good sign. The adrenaline pushed any fogginess Tifa might be feeling away but she made a noise when she tried to pull her arms forward.

Her hands were tied together with what felt like rope but she also felt what had to be a shackle around one wrist. That couldn’t be a good sign either.

“What is going on?”

“Reno?” The adrenaline was helping clear her mind but Tifa was still struggling. This wasn’t good. She was tied or handcuffed to Reno of all people and neither of them seemed to know where they were or what was going on.

They had a rocky history but she respected Reno’s fighting and survival skills. One didn’t mess lightly with the Turks even after all these years. So she could have been in a lot worse company but there were a slew of people she would rather be stuck with then Reno as well.

She felt his hand awkwardly grasp her and give her a reassuring squeeze. It really didn’t do the trick because Tifa realized she didn’t have her gloves on. Whoever had done this had taken her gloves which was really concerning.

“Don’t call me babe.” Tifa let out a breath as she looked around. She didn’t recognize the trees or foliage. But there were sounds of birds and insects which was a good thing. Silence meant something deadly was close. “And no, I don’t.”

She then started to test the restraints, wiggling her hands and wrists to see if there was any kind of slack. “Are you tied like I am?”
